Wire fraud
The State reported that Keisha Carroll Banks was an employee with Ridgeway Manor Health Care in Ridgeway, SC. She is now heading to federal prison for pleading guilty to wire fraud and stealing money from the nursing home where she worked. Banks was able to access the money of a resident who resides at the facility. Banks took ownership of some of those funds and used some of the money for her own benefit.
Additionally, Banks was ordered to pay $58,544.61 in restitution fees on top of 14 months in federal prison. The federal prison system has no parole option.
There is also no information on how the fraud was discovered or when Banks stopped working at Ridgeway Manor. Records show she was indicted in December 2022. After serving 14 months in prison, Banks will serve a three-year term of court-ordered supervision.
