White Oak Manor
White Oak Manor, Inc is a South Carolina nursing home chain with a dozen or so facilities in the Carolina. White Oak is headquartered in my hometown of Spartanburg. This for-profit chain is having major problems with preventing and managing coronavirus cases in their facilities.
For example, White Oak Manor-Kings Mountain currently has a major outbreak. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services disclosed that White Oak Manor nursing home in Kings Mountain has 168 cases. 110 vulnerable residents and at least 58 staff members. This appears to be the worst active nursing home outbreak in the Southeast but definitely in the Carolinas. The nursing home states that at least 20 residents died from COVID.
