Vaccination Update

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Services data shows more than 90% of coronavirus deaths and hospitalizations were unvaccinated people. Unfortunately, only 45% of South Carolinians are fully vaccinated.  More than 170 million Americans are safe after the vaccination. Hopefully, vaccine hesitancy will decline further.

DHEC’s Dr. Jane Kelly:

“The overwhelming majority of people who are getting hospitalized and dying from COVID-19 are those who are not fully vaccinated.”

Also, DHEC reports Delta variant cases increased fourfold from July 7 to July 14. The average percent of positive tests for the week was 6.1, which means the virus is spreading.

The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) released a report entitled The Disinformation Dozen.  Twelve well-financed individuals create or share two-thirds of anti-vaccine content on Facebook and Twitter. Many of these influencers are infamous for anti-science conspiracy theories. Trust the science not scam artists.
