Dying Alone

WGXA reported the tragic discovery of a female resident three days after her death. Magnolia Manor caregivers finally discovered Jewel Pounds Billing in her apartment after family members asked them to do a welfare check on Billing. Coroner Lonnie Miley believes the woman died of natural causes.

According to Magnolia Manor’s website, they provide services to vulnerable adults. President and CEO of Magnolia Manor Mark Todd admits reasonable care requires the staff to do daily checks but in this case it did not happen. Todd also said that staff should see the residents when they gather for meal time.
