Criminal Neglect

Substance abuse and addiction are prevalent in the health care field. Recently, The Patch reported another tragic situation. A drunk caregiver neglected vulnerable adults under her care, according to law enforcement.

Angela S. Hutchison faces a charge of criminal neglect of a facility resident. She worked at Fair Oaks Health Care Center. The complaint said Hutchison criminally neglected residents by working while she was intoxicated.

Her drunkenness “recklessly created a substantial likelihood” that a resident’s life be endangered or their pre-existing conditions to deteriorate.
