At this point, everyone should be wearing a mask to protect themselves and others. Surgeon General Jerome Adams begged Americans to wear masks to slow the spread of the coronavirus. He then acknowledged he was wrong to discourage the use of face coverings.
“I’m pleading with your viewers. I’m begging you,” Adams told the hosts of “Fox & Friends” in an interview. “Please understand that we are not trying to take away your freedoms when we say, ‘Wear a face covering.’”
Even Trump now acknowledges his mistake by tweeting a photograph of himself wearing a mask. He then described the practice as a patriotic act amid the coronavirus pandemic. “We are United in our effort to defeat the [coronavirus], and many people say that it is Patriotic to wear a face mask when you can’t socially distance.”
As the number of infected Americans surges, Trump is pledging to “get involved”. Uh-oh. Trump will return to the stage in the daily task force press conferences where he headlined controversial news conferences in March and April. Hopefully, he won’t tell us to drink bleach.
