Twitter’s Future?

Senator Chris Murphy asked the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) to investigate “potential national security concerns” arising from Saudi Arabia involvement in Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. The Kingdom is now Twitter’s second-largest shareholder (albeit with around a 4% stake).

Twitter is planning to charge $19.99 for the new Twitter Blue subscription. Verified users would have 90 days to subscribe or lose their blue checkmark. Employees working on the project were told to meet a deadline of November 7th to launch the feature or they will be fired.
