No Jail for Fight Promoter

Two North Carolina female caregivers created a fight club among demented nursing home residents under their care and supervision. Breitbart News reported in October of 2019 that police arrested Marilyn Latish McKey, 35, and Taneshia Deshawn Jordan, 28.

The investigation led to discovery of elder abuse at the Danby House facility in Winston-Salem. Jordan admitted she encouraged residents to strike the other in the face. Jordan videotaped the incident and shared the video with Mckey and Tyson. The Winston-Salem Journal notes Tonacia Yvonne Tyson, 23, was arrested but acquitted.

The caregivers incited fights between patients with dementia at an assisted living facility.  Breitbart News wrote the women “allowed and encouraged residents to fight each other.”  How barbaric. Jordan told investigators that she and McKey allowed the fight to continue because they had some behavioral issues with one of the residents and wanted to get some justice.

The caregivers are on video saying, “Punch her in the face.” They are laughing as two residents fight.

Another staff member asked, “Are you recording? You gonna send it to send me?”

The employees let the fight happen because one of the residents “always caused problems.”

One woman pleaded for help, while a caregiver tells her to “stop screaming, b***.”

Unfortunately, the Court did not send them to jail. Incredible.

McKey only received a 45 day suspended sentence and 12 months of supervised probation. Jordan was given a 30 day suspended sentence with 12 months of unsupervised probation.

Where is the Justice?
