North Carolina’s MyFox8 reported that Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Thomasville paid a reduced fine for unsafe staffing.  100 patients only had three caregivers in January of 2022. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) said two employees at the Whitten Center assisted living facility abused residents. SLED arrested Lila Denise Kerson and Lasheba Tijuandra Turner for an incident on Christmas day in 2022.
