Lindsey Graham Admits to Russian Interference in 2016

December 2016: Graham, alongside Senator John McCain and others, released a joint statement expressing concern about reports of Russian interference in the 2016 election, urging a bipartisan response. Graham tweeted that

“Russian hacking during the US presidential election is not a Republican or Democrat issue. It’s an American issue. We must stand together.”

Graham stated he was “1,000% confident” that Russia meddled in the 2016 US presidential election. He specified that Russia was behind the hack of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the stolen emails of John Podesta.
