“I done wrong”
Princeton Police Department arrested Jeffery A. Harvey, a 68-year-old employee at RiverOaks Health Campus, for charges of attempted rape and sexual battery. This arrest took place at RiverOaks Health Campus, where officers responded to a report of an issue with an employee and a resident.
The affidavit stated that a nursing home staff member told police that they watched Harvey talk with the 87-year-old victim in a public area before asking to go to her room. The supervisor told police that it looked as if Harvey “was going to kiss” the victim. Allegedly, the supervisor went to alert a nurse but was too late as the victims were shut and barricaded by a chair.
In the affidavit, an officer wrote the employees forced the door open and “saw Harvey with his pants off next to the victim, who was undressed from the waist down with her shirt pulled up.” The victim turned in the bed to grab a pair of “men’s blue underwear” and put them on. The underwear was confiscated as evidence. Harvey was then escorted out of the facility and taken to the police department for an interview, and allegedly said “I done wrong.”
Execute Director, Rebecca Brown, released the statement to USA TODAY:
“The safety and wellbeing of our residents is at the forefront of everything we do at River Oaks Health Campus. On January 22nd, staff identified, intervened, and reported an incident to authorities which occurred at the campus. An investigation is now in progress. We cannot comment any further but continue to remain committed to delivering excellence in care to each and every resident that calls River Oaks home.”
