Inflation fell to its lowest level in two years. Overall inflation is down by 60 percent from its peak.
At the same time, unemployment has remained below 4 percent for 20 months in a row and the share of working-age Americans in the workforce is the highest in 20 years.
More than 71 million Americans receiving Social Security benefits will see their checks rise by 3.2 percent next year to help them keep pace with inflation, the Social Security Administration said on Thursday.
