Breaking Records on Energy
In the last couple of years, the United States has rocketed from barely selling any gas overseas to becoming the world’s No. 1 supplier. Biden has been able to export more energy than Trump. Gas prices remain below $3 despite Russian’s invasion of Ukraine.
The U.S. has been producing 13.2 million barrels of crude oil per day, according to the Energy Information Administration.
US oil output is now projected to rise to an average of 13.4 million barrels per day this year for the first time ever. Saudi Arabia produces about 10 million barrels per day.
This remarkable shift has strengthened American influence abroad. The United States is on track to nearly double its export capacity by 2027 because of projects already permitted and under construction.
