Administrator’s Salary Rises While Caregivers Struggle
While various nursing positions are stuck with the same salary level, income for the owners of long-term care facilities has grown 3.7%. Such higher increases in pay are typical within long-term care facilities. The use of sign-on bonuses has also declined from 65.4% of respondents saying they offered bonuses to 55.6%
The staff salaries seem to be increasing the minimal amount-just enough to overcome inflation. Meanwhile, the national nursing home administrator average salary rose to $133,750, with assistant administrators making around $86,400.
Turnover rates also appear to be lower among lower levels of employees are decreasing, although this is likely a sign of a worsening job market.
