South Carolina Vulnerable Adult Guardian ad Litem

Over the Holiday season, The South Carolina Vulnerable Adult Guardian ad Litem program used money previously fundraised to spread cheer and comfort to vulnerable adults.

Among several counties in South Carolina, VAGAL volunteers delivered stocking to assisted living and nursing home facilities for residents who may have been subject to neglect or abuse, or who have been placed into protective custody by the Department of Social Services.

Being brought to tears, residents were overjoyed by the gifts being received. Including items such as food, festive attire, socks, and candy, residents were able to be shown empathy while awaiting new living arrangements by DSS.
