Too Soon?

Is it too soon to open everything up?  According to the experts and science, it is too soon. However, our esteemed governor terminated COVID safety measures effective Monday, March 1, 2021. Restaurants may resume normal alcohol sales and events with 250 people will be allowed. Sounds kid of stupid to me.

“Please hear me clearly,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the head of the C.D.C., said on Monday. “At this level of cases, with variants spreading, we stand to completely lose the hard-earned ground we have gained.”

In the U.S., the average daily number of cases is higher than last summer. Over the past week, more than 2,000 Americans have died each day on average. It is too soon to stop safety measures.

Fortunately, Biden was able to get Merck to make rival Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Incredible use of the Defense Production Act. The U.S. will now have enough vaccine doses by May to cover every American adult. This is two months earlier than previously optimistic estimates.

We just need to make sure that people get vaccinated. Well, here’s Dolly.  Everyone loves Dolly Parton. She just got the vaccine after donating a million to develop the vaccine. Dolly tweeted that she had gotten “a dose of her own medicine.” She is a class act.
