Industry Adds Jobs

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released good news. Nursing care facilities added 12,000 jobs in July, as the health care sector overall saw payrolls increase by 63,000 workers. Since May of 2022, nursing home jobs have been recovering. The healthcare industry is a major driver of job growth.

“While this is good news, there remains a great need for more jobs to be added. That said, the positive trends seen in the last 15 months portend well for the industry’s further recovery.”

–Beth Mace, chief economist at the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), told Skilled Nursing News.
