Congratulations to Chief Justice John Kittredge
The South Carolina General Assembly elected John Kittredge as the next State Supreme Court Chief Justice.
Kittredge has 33 years of experience as a state court judge. He was elected to the Supreme Court in 2008. Kittredge succeeds Don Beatty.
His election comes amid increased scrutiny as South Carolina’s Supreme Court is the only one in the nation without a single female justice.
South Carolina is the only state with an all-white, all-male all-Christian Supreme Court.
