The Jury has Spoken

Writer E. Jean Carroll accused Trump of attacking her in 1996. Friend Lisa Birnbach testified that a “hyperventilating” Carroll called her just minutes after the attack. Birnbach advised Carroll to go to the police, even offering to accompany her. Two other Trump accusers, Natasha Stoynoff and Jessica Leeds, testified similar incidents in which Trump sexually assaulted them.

He has denied the allegations. Trump refused to attend the trial. However, the jury saw his video deposition.

The nine-person jury — three women and six men — decided the case after three hours of deliberations. The jury awarded $5 million finding that former twice-impeached and criminally indicted former President Donald Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming her.
