Remember January 6

Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to stop Congress from certifying Biden’s victory, and they forced lawmakers and then-Vice President Mike Pence to flee for their lives. At campaign rallies, he plays a recording of “The Star-Spangled Banner” sung by convicted members of the violent mob. The anthem is bizarrely interspersed with Trump’s mumbled recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Many of those convicted of insurrectionist acts rushed to the Capitol after Trump encouraged the armed crowd to “fight like hell” or “you’re not going to have a country anymore.” Trump continues to play up Jan. 6. on the trail, calling it a beautiful day and describing those imprisoned for the insurrection as “great, great patriots” and “hostages.”
