South Carolina’s number of confirmed cases exceeds 115,000 with almost 3,000 confirmed deaths. South Carolina is still averaging over 500 new cases with close to 50 deaths per day. The percentage of individual positive test results was 20.4%.

NHC Healthcare Greenwood nursing home logged 12 more deaths this week. The facility has more than 100 active cases among its residents.

PruittHealth, one of the South’s largest nursing home chains, has reported more than 360 COVID-19 fatalities in Georgia. That’s a rate of roughly 7,500 per 100,000 residents.  Georgia Health News analyzed data.  Data shows Pruitt’s facility is 50 percent higher than the statewide average for long-term care facilities.
