Great Expectations
A group of economists has “sharply revised upwards” America’s 2024 growth expectations. The U.S. economy continues to outperform the world.
The National Association for Business Economics surveyed professional forecasters. The NABE survey forecasts 2.2% GDP growth — nearly a full point higher than the 1.3% expected in December.
Last year, the economy boomed despite many economists’ pessimism. The job market exceeds expectations. Also, investors expect the Fed to lower borrowing costs at some point which will make the stock market boom even more.
