Big Tech is actively working behind the scenes to influence legislation and ethics rules in every state. The goal is not to serve the interests of a client. Their sole intention is to generate massive profits. There are two primary ways Big Tech attempting to accomplish their goal: 1) advocating for non-lawyer ownership in law firms, and 2) allowing non-lawyers to practice law.
They will manipulate and control internet search results to direct potential clients to themselves. To dominate the market, they can offer lower-cost legal services. The massive scale will accomplish their goals of obtaining a large, dominant market share. If similar changes are made in South Carolina, it will likely have a negatively impact on all the judicial system.
